Description:
The Steve Young Memorial Scholarship is open to the widows of police officers killed in the line of duty between January 1, 2001 and the present. Divorced spouses of such officers who are the parent or legal guardian of either dependent, minor children or disabled, non- self- supporting children over 18 of the fallen officer are also eligible to apply. The fallen officer must have been a law enforcement officer (police, sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, correctional officers, probation and parole officers, and judicial officers). In addition, the applicant must not have remarried since his/ her spouse's death and must not have contributed in any way to the death of the deceased.
